Our Sonic Tester SS-50 has different operating modes and can simulate typical leak sounds and different types of partial discharge sounds.

The SS-50 may cause deviations due to dust, impact, etc., and should be sent back to the manufacturer for re-calibration every two years. You can also contact wisono@wisono.com for more detailed instructions.

Each SS-50 has been individually tested and calibrated before leaving the factory.

The actual frequency range of the sound signal generated by the SS-50 will exceed 40kHz, but the 2 ~ 40kHz range is the best choice for calibrating the acoustic imaging camera. Due to the directional nature of ultrasonic sound sources, there may be significant fluctuations in the dB readings at frequencies above 40kHz, causing errors in calibration at these frequencies.

The SS-50 is capable of providing sound pressure levels that may cause permanent hearing damage. When the device is operated at a distance less than 0.5m, the user of the device should always use hearing protection to avoid permanent hearing damage.
